Day One: Apples

The first day was a success! Apples, apples, apples, goodness, I do love them apples. In my book they explained the great values of apple, the main one that I was interested in was that apples carry a lot of potassium. So when you get muscle cramps and need to eat a lot of bananas, you can always change it up with an apple instead. This may be a boring fact for some, but as a tennis player this happens regularly so I always have a banana on the court with me, but maybe from now on I will eat an apple before hand. Other wise for the meals that I ate yesterday:

Breakfast consisted of peanut butter toast with apple slices, always good, and a regular breakfast for me. Lunch was a bit different, it was a apple and parmesan salad. I was a little apprehensive first in trying the salad, but it was awesome! Very delicious, and something I will definitely have again! Dinner was a bit more complicated, so I searched a bit more for some recipe. When I found one on a health website, and I found this recipe for a apple and cheddar melt. I love grilled cheese and many variations of it so I was very intrigued by this recipe. It was tasty but not something I would eat on a regular basis. All together it was a successful day, the difference in my diet caused a two pound weight loss which is awesome, but I am a little embarrassed to admit what my diet consisted of before, ha!

From my book, it also said that an apple a day can keep the doctor away, is true! So eat your apples!
